As you all are aware COVID-19 has presented us with a new challenge with rigorous hygiene, social distancing and ‘stay at home unless essential to be out as main messages’.
Whilst numbers are currently increasing more slowly indicating these measures are helping there will be increased testing to ascertain community transmission.
There are many changes we have undertaken as health professionals in the practice in order to minimise risk of exposure through rigorous personal and practice hygiene and patient screening to keep you and our staff safe. Our most recent change is taking temperatures of everyone entering the practice.
Your are welcome to attend the practice for treatment if you feel this is essential subject to this screening.
However if you are in self-isolation or would prefer to minimise contact in any way we now offer a one to one consultation with us via Telehealth.
Telehealth uses digital technology on either your computer or phone with or without a video component. It is safe and effective and has been around in rural and remote settings for a long time.
Our physios are now trained in delivering Telehealth.
If you would like to talk to us about commencing or continuing your treatment through Telehealth please call us at the practice on 62957563. We can explain the procedures, technology requirements and fees before you have your treatment. The Private Health Insurance companies are now paying rebates for Telehealth but we need patients to pay up front and then claim from their fund.
